Danish bakery and coffee house Ole & Steen is set to bring a slice of Scandinavian comfort to the UK this August with a record-breaking giveaway of 500,000 slices of their iconic Cinnamon Social pastry.
The well-known bakery, famed for its Danish bakes and cosy ambience, is giving both new and loyal customers the chance to experience a bit of “hygge” – the Danish notion of unwinding and savouring life’s simple joys – by offering complimentary slices of their top-selling Cinnamon Social throughout the month.
Ole & Steen’s signature delight, the Cinnamon Social, is a layered pastry dough filled with soft, flavourful fillings and topped off with just the right amount of icing.
This pastry is designed to be shared amongst friends and family as a 12 or 6-slice bake, or savoured as a solo treat at any time of day. A vegan version is also available for those following a plant-based diet.

New customers can claim their free slice, usually priced at £4.25, by downloading the Ole & Steen app from the App Store and registering.
After registering, users will receive 100 points and a voucher for a complimentary slice of Cinnamon Social, redeemable in-store or via Click & Collect (minimum £3 spend for Click & Collect orders).
Existing app users won’t be left out-loyal customers will also receive a voucher for a free slice, ensuring everyone can enjoy a taste of Denmark’s favourite pastry.
The giveaway comes hot on the heels of Ole & Steen’s new summer menu launch, which features a range of premium open rye sandwiches.
