POLL: Should Princess Kate's uncle Gary Goldsmith enter ITV Celebrity Big Brother house?

Princess Kate’s uncle Gary Goldsmith is reportedly set to enter the Big Brother house this year as part of the new celebrity line up.

Mr Goldsmith is the younger brother of Kate’s mother Carole Middleton, and has previously made headlines for defending his sister after the final series of The Crown aired.

Royal fans are divided by the news Mr Goldsmith will be starring on the show. Some have questioned his level of fame, while others have slammed the move for being “inappropriate”.

X user mamie123 posted: “Yeah no sorry Uncle Gary I think it’s inappropriate.”

Express commenter ColleenWebster wrote: “He is NOT a celebrity and should not be going there.”

And royal experts have also been quick to condemn Mr Goldsmith’s plans, with BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond telling OK!: “I cannot imagine why Gary Goldsmith is doing this.

“Surely he can’t need the money? This is tacky, demeaning and tasteless. Not to mention dangerous.”

Kate’s parents Carole and Michael Middleton are said to have had furious words with Mr Goldsmith over his decision.

An insider told The Sun: “Gary said he’s been read the riot act by Kate’s mum Carole and her dad Michael. They aren’t happy he’s going into Celebrity Big Brother. It is infuriating to them. Kate doesn’t need this stress.”

Kate is currently recovering from abdominal surgery and will not be returning to public duties until Easter at the earliest.

So what do you think, should Princess Kate’s uncle enter the Celebrity Big Brother House? Vote now.

It comes as Princess Kate fans are all saying the same thing after ITV Good Morning Britain polled viewers, asking them whether the Royal Family should make an announcement on her health.

The majority of people polled, 57.2 percent, opted for no, with many royal fans calling for Kate to be left in peace as she recovers, with the Palace last week clarifying that she is continuing to do “well” after the planned operation.
