Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s deal with Netflix will come to an end in September, it has been reported. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry signed the lucrative £100million deal in 2020, shortly after the step down as senior working royals.
It has been claimed that the Duke, 40, and Duchess of Sussex, 43, and Netflix have mutually decided not to make an official announcement. Speaking to The Sun about the deal being terminated later this year, a source said: “The deal is done; no more shows will be made. Netflix feel they’ve got all they can from the couple.”
They added: “Netflix were clever in that they got a hell of a lot of viewers for the first documentary series, and knew, realistically, it would prove the zenith of content from the Montecito pair.
“They’re not unhappy with how things turned out – they got those initial hits, and produced one of the most talked-about shows of all time. The content got weaker from there on but, frankly, for £20million a year, anything was better than nothing. There’s no animosity from either side.”

The source then discussed Meghan’s brand As Ever, claiming that it a “blow”, especially for Harry.
Whilst their joint docuseries, Harry and Meghan, received a high number of views, Harry’s solo project, titled Polo, was reportedly watched by just 500,000 people.
Meghan was also dubbed as being “out of touch” following the release of her show, With Love, Meghan, earlier this year.
According to The Sun, it is understood that Netflix bosses were mildly infuriated by Meghan making her As Ever brand a priority.
As well as their series, Polo and With Love, Meghan, the couple also released a documentary called Live to Lead, which highlighted inspiring world leaders.
