Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sent shockwaves across the world when they quit life as senior members of the British Royal Family in 2020.
Just two years after their 2018 Windsor wedding, the couple decided to branch off on their own and relocate overseas to America to become “financially independent”.
Since then, the couple have been living in a Montecito mansion with their two children Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three, and have not held back on slating Royal life.
In 2021, the pair took part in a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey where they hurled accusations of racism at the Royal Family.
A year later, just months after the death of Queen Elizabeth, the couple released their 2022 Netflix docuseries Harry and Meghan, where they spoke about life as a Royal in a negative light.
In 2023, Harry, 40, then made matters even worse by publishing his memoir Spare, which was the final straw in his relationship with his brother Prince William, the future King.
While rumours have been squashed about the couple relocating to the UK, especially considering Harry’s ongoing American visa rows, some people think a return to part-time royal duties could be on the cards for the duke.
According to various reports, Meghan, 43, is eager for Harry to maintain some form of relationship with the Royal Family so they have a door open if they wish to return. They have also made sure their children have kept their prince and princess titles.
However, should they be allowed to rejoin in part-time roles after everything they have said and done? Have your say in our poll below.

Royal expert Tom Quinn told The Mirror: “ Harry still has vague hopes that he will be forgiven and will be offered a minor role somewhere. Harry will really make huge efforts to build bridges with his brother and be allowed to be the part-time royal (with Meghan) that he wants to be. But if palace officials have their way, it will never happen.”
This comes after the former butler of King Charles, Grant Harrold, exclusively told Express.co.uk that the King would probably welcome Harry back if they regained trust. The butler, who worked for Charles when he was the Prince of Wales between 2004 and 2011, said: “Never say never, time is a healer. I think it depends on what he does over the next couple of years if we can see him come back in.
“I’m sure his father would probably love to welcome him back with open arms, they’ve just got to be sure that what’s happened in the past few years is not going to happen again.”
