Police fine two brothers after they try to turn car into 'helicopter'

Police fined two brothers after they tried to turn a car into a “helicopter”.

The men, named locally as Ishwardeen and Parmeshwardeen, attached rotary blades and other metal parts to the vehicle to make it look like a helicopter.

Officers seized the vehicles over the allegedly unauthorised modifications, and fined the pair – before handing the car back and telling them not to use it.

They wanted to rent it out to weddings for money, and were on their way to have it spray painted when police in Akbarpur Kotwali in northern India were alerted, on March 17.

A local source said: “As soon as they hit the road, they caught the attention of the police.

“Both brothers had a dream of using the modified car as a helicopter for booking weddings and earning money.

“However, before their plan could be executed, the police spotted them.

“They transformed the wagon car into a ‘helicopter’ without obtaining any permission.

“When they reached the district headquarters to get the modified vehicle painted, the police stopped them.

“They attached wings on top and rounded iron sheets at the back to give it the appearance of a helicopter.”

“After modifying the car, the two brothers went to the district headquarters of Ambedkar Nagar to give it the final touch.”

“When people saw it, they were amazed.

“Upon receiving information, the police also arrived at the scene and found that the brothers had transformed a wagon car into a ‘helicopter’.”

The vehicle attracted the attention of the traffic police near Akbarpur bus station.

Superintendent of Police Vishal Pandey said police have increased surveillance for security reasons.
