Piers Morgan claims William 'would rather shoot himself' than reunite with 'traitor' Harry

Piers Morgan slammed Prince Harry branding him a “traitor” in a bitter tweet.

The Uncensored presenter, 58, took to X, formerly Twitter, and hit out at the Duke of Sussex who returned to the UK today and visited his father King Charles after Buckingham Palace announced he had been diagnosed with a form of cancer.

The 39-year-old dashed back to the UK following the King’s shock cancer announcement yesterday.

But the heir to the throne, Prince William, is focused on his wife Kate’s recovery and his return to public duties tomorrow, the Mirror reports. Sources close to both brothers say Prince William is “focussing on other matters” and they have “no plans” to meet.

Taking to the micro-blogging site today, Piers retweeted a post from CNN correspondent Max Foster which read: “Royal source: no plans for Prince William and Prince Harry to meet during London visit.”

Piers wrote: “TRANSLATION: William would rather shoot himself than see his traitor brother.”

The post garnered a mixed reaction online as his comments sparked a social media divide. One wrote: “Families have fallouts, I haven’t spoken to my own sister in years. I get a bit sick of this being treated like some soap opera tbh. They allegedly don’t get on but that’s between them.”

Another commented: “Bit harsh,” and a third agreed: “That’s a bit harsh tbh.”(sic)

Before the King’s cancer diagnosis, his relationship with youngest son Harry had been strained, reportedly due to claims the Duke of Sussex made about his father and the Royal Family in his book, Spare.

Harry and William’s relationship was said to have deteriorated following his bombshell memoir and the brothers remain estranged.

According to the Mirror, a source said: “The Duke’s primary reason to travel to the UK is to visit his father.

“If the opportunity were to arise to see the Prince of Wales then the Duke would have gladly accepted it.”

A source close to William expressed that his “main focus” is on that of his wife, the Princess of Wales who was discharged from The London Clinic on January 29 following planned abdominal surgery.

The mother-of-three had remained in hospital for 13 days, having been admitted on January 16.
