Terminally ill Liz Hatton joined photographers at the London opening of Venom: The Last Dance.
And as her impressive pictures show, the inspirational 17-year-old has the skills for the job.
Liz made headlines earlier this month after she was invited to photograph an investiture at Windsor Castle, where she found herself meeting Prince William and Princess Kate.
In her latest assignment, Liz lined up shots of the celebrity guests walking down the red carpet at the BFI Imax in Waterloo, Central London. They including leading man Tom Hardy, 47, who returns as Venom for the final film in the Marvel character’s trilogy.
Liz said: “It was unbelievable. I don’t want to sound like a broken record, but it really was like nothing I’ve ever done before.”
Keeping it strictly professional, Liz did not mingle with the stars this time around, instead staying in the photographers’ pen – and let her stunning images do the talking.
Other cast members to pass in front her lens included Juno Temple, 35, Oscar-winning actor Chiwetel Ejiofor, 47, and the film’s director Kelly Marcel, 50.
They were joined by Juno’s Ted Lasso co-star Hannah Waddingham, 50, and former Love Island contestants Ekin-Su Culculoglu, 30, and Olivia Hawkins, 29.
Liz said as she dashed to her next job – photographing the cast of West End show Six: “I feel so grateful to everybody who has helped to make this happen.”
The teenager and her family were invited to watch the musical afterwards. Liz, who has desmoplastic small round cell tumour, a rare and extremely aggressive form of cancer, was invited to Windsor earlier this month after the Prince of Wales learnt of her diagnosis and love for photography.
She later described the day as “truly incredible”, revealing she had no idea the invite included a private meeting with the royal couple. Photos of Liz and Kate, 42, sharing a warm embrace were later shared by Kensington Palace.
It was the first time the Princess had been pictured since she announced she was easing her way back to work following her own cancer diagnosis in February.
The talented teenager talked to Kate about their mutual love of photography.
It is a passion “that’s always been a part of me”, says Liz, who saved up for her first camera aged 10, and who admits to being a perfectionist, “always trying to one-up myself”.
