The Polar Bear finally broke the ice in Queens.
Pete Alonso, hitless through almost two full games in his return to Citi Field with the Orioles, blasted a solo home run — the 300th of his career — in the ninth inning on Tuesday off the Mets’ Kodai Senga to tie the game at 3-all.
He fired his bat toward the third base dugout and let out a loud yell as he got to home plate.

Alonso, greeted with cheers throughout the first two games of the series, received a curtain call from Mets fans, and he came out of the dugout and raised his hand in recognition.
