A pair of prolific shoplifters have been banned from entering several shops in Lancashire. Sarah Healey, 42, and Charlie Woodcock, 31, have been banned from stores including Asda, Morrisons, and B&M after being given five-year Criminal Behaviour Orders (CBO) for shoplifting.
The pair were given the orders at Blackburn Magistrates Court on July 31, banning them from stores across Lancashire. Lancashire Police said Healey was also given rehabilitation activity requirements and a compensation charge. The thieving pair were caught as a result of a new police initiative designed to reduce incidents of low-level crime.
Operation Vulture is Lancashire Police’s attempt to combat shoplifting across the county and is backed by Lancashire’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Clive Grunshaw.
The operation sees dedicated officers undertaking hotspot patrolling, increasing their visibility in targeted areas, and creating strong partnerships with retailers across the county to better share intelligence, gain a deeper understanding of retail crime, and identify more offenders.
