P Diddy, the 54 year old music mogul known by various monikers such as Diddy, Puff Daddy, and Love, who is currently embroiled in legal battles with multiple lawsuits against him, had a peculiar interest in the British Royal Family.

Awaiting trial at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center on grave charges including sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy, tales of his life beyond the music scene are surfacing.

It has been revealed that Diddy harboured a particular fascination for the royals, especially the late Queen Elizabeth II.

A journalist from The Telegraph shared an anecdote from a 2008 interview where Diddy, then aged 38, lamented never having met the monarch, stating: “The Queen of England. I don’t know why I’ve never met her”.

His perplexity was evident as he humorously remarked, “She’s never invited me to the palace – not yet, anyway,”

This curious detail comes alongside claims from Diddy’s ex-publicist about his intrigue with Princes William and Harry.

Appearing on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Rob Shuter revealed the determined attempts by the music industry giant to get British royalty at his events, stating: “He used to ask me all the time, because I’m British, he thought that I knew them. I did not… Each day he would text me or call me wanting to know what was going on with the princes.”

Reflecting on his time working for Diddy two decades ago, Shuter shared an anecdote: “He asked me on more than 10 occasions if I could get an invite to the palace. I tried to try to get them to one, two, to three of his parties, they never did turn up,” reports the Daily Star.

In a startling development, Combs has recently been embroiled in controversy, and last month found himself under arrest in a Manhattan hotel. This was subsequent to other incidents where federal authorities had raided his properties in Los Angeles and Miami.

According to The Mirror, a grand jury indictment levies serious charges against him, including abuse, coercion, and threats targeted at women from as far back as 2008, purportedly aiming for sexual satisfaction, salvaging his status, and hiding his misdeeds.

Hip-hop tycoon Diddy is now implicated in accusations that involve the enticement of female victims and male prostitutes into drug-fuelled sex marathons, dubbed “freak offs”.

On September 17, outside the courthouse, Diddy’s attorney Marc Agnifilo made it clear: “Mr Combs is a fighter, he’s going to fight this to the end. He’s innocent. He came to New York to establish his innocence. He’s not afraid, he’s not afraid of the charges.”

The defence team has also expressed that Combs “cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus”. The rap mogul is set to remain behind bars until his trial kicks off on May 5, 2025, expected to unfold over three weeks.

He’s slated to stand before a Manhattan jury facing grave accusations, including sex trafficking and racketeering, with a conviction potentially landing him a minimum of 15 years to life behind bars.
