Ozzy Osbourne was captured enjoying precious moments with his family in footage posted just two days before his passing.

The clip has garnered widespread attention this week following confirmation of the rock legend’s death this week.

His daughter Kelly Osbourne, 40, had shared the intimate video with followers on her Instagram Story on July 20, just two days before the Black Sabbath icon’s demise.

The recording showed Ozzy engrossed with a tablet whilst seated at a breakfast table alongside his youngest daughter and her two year old son Sidney.

The trio were filmed during their morning meal, with various newspapers, including the Sunday Mirror, scattered across the table before them, reports the Mirror.

Kelly opened the clip with a cheerful “Good morning.”

before turning the camera towards her father.

She affectionately called Ozzy “dadda” as he sat wearing headphones, later encouraging him: “Say good morning!”.

When prompted to greet viewers, Ozzy leaned towards the camera and warmly declared: “Good morning!”.

The heartwarming footage has since circulated widely across social media platforms this week, particularly after news broke of Ozzy’s death yesterday, as confirmed by his family.

One TikTok post featuring the clip has already amassed over 2 million likes.

Kelly joined other family members in announcing Ozzy’s passing through an official statement yesterday.

The announcement bore the signatures of his wife Sharon and four of his children – Louis Osbourne, Aimee Osbourne, Jack Osbourne and Kelly – released last night.

The statement read: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.”

News of his death sparked an outpouring of tributes, including from his former Black Sabbath bandmates, with whom he had recently reunited for a farewell concert in Birmingham. Flowers have subsequently been placed on the bench and bridge commemorating the band in the city, with fans flocking to the location.

Ozzy’s former bandmate Tony Iommi was amongst those honouring him following yesterday’s announcement. Sharing photographs of Ozzy, Tony expressed in an Instagram post last night that he “can’t really find the words” to respond to the news.

Tony penned: “I just can’t believe it! My dear dear friend Ozzy has passed away only weeks after our show at Villa Park. It’s just such heartbreaking news that I can’t really find the words, there won’t ever be another like him. Geezer, Bill and myself have lost our brother. My thoughts go out to Sharon and all the Osbourne family. Rest in peace Oz.”
