OC toddler nearly run over after falling from moving car, mother arrested

Terrifying video shows a toddler flying out of a car in the middle of a busy intersection in Fullerton, California.

The tot’s mother, Jacqueline Hernandez, 35, was busted Monday on felony child abuse charges as the shocking footage circulated on social media.

The mom can be seen in the footage rushing out to grab her 19-month-old child, nearly causing a collision with the car behind it.

The incident took place on the morning of Jan. 20, when Hernandez’s black SUV made a left turn at the intersection of W. Malvern Ave. and N. Euclid St., and the small child fell from the passenger side, according to police.

The toddler was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

Days later, a witness came forward with information that led to the arrest of Hernandez, according to the Fullerton Police Department.

Kristy Wells, Fullerton Police Department Public Information Officer told The Post she is “grateful” the child didn’t suffer any further injuries and reminded parents to use a car seat.

“It can save the life of your child,” she said.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are encouraging anyone with more information to contact the Fullerton Police Department.
