Oasis fans say same thing about Liam and Noel's vocals as tour gets under way

After a 16-year break, Oasis spectacularly returned to the limelight, launching their eagerly awaited reunion tour in Cardiff last night (Friday, July 4).

The iconic moment was captured as Liam and Noel Gallagher emerged onto the stage at the Principality Stadium, hands clasped and held aloft.

Their performance, lasting just over two hours, began with the aptly titled song ‘Hello’, followed by a short video declaring, “This is not a drill”, before diving into their third tune, ‘(What’s the story) Morning Glory?’. Liam addressed the crowd with: “Hello people, it’s been too long.”

Oasis wrapped up their 24-song set with ‘Champagne Supernova’, bringing the first of two shows at the 75,000-capacity Welsh venue to a close, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Fans have been ecstatic, flooding social media with praise for the band’s enduring sound.

One elated fan proclaimed: “Holy s**t they sound BIBLICAL”.

While another added: “Sounding amazing. We missed Noel’s backing vocals.

“It feels like the world collectively smiled tonight seeing the brothers back together.”

A different admirer commented: “Both their voices are sounding top notch!”

Joining the Gallagher siblings onstage were bass player Andy Bell, guitarists Gem Archer and Paul Arthurs (also known as Bonehead), along with drummer Joey Waronker.

As fans eagerly awaited his comeback, rhythm guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, who left Oasis in 1999, made a thrilling return to the band for their live tour, sparking curiosity about his contribution to the act.

The crowd was abuzz with anticipation over whether he would actually play, and much to their delight, he was front and centre alongside the boys for the duration of the event, strumming along to their legendary tracks.

One enthused fan observed: “Great to see bonehead in the back there too!”

Praise for the band’s sound was rife among followers on social media, with one admirer noting: “They sound f**king incredible. The snippets posted to the BBC page are absolutely biblical”.

The same admirer lauded the band’s chic appearance by stating: “And they look f****g cool as well. Far cooler than a bunch of blokes in their mid 50s deserve to. Gem and Andy understated as per usual lol.”

Consumed by the experience, an avid fan expressed urgency for additional content, saying: “This makes me need a paid live stream, a concert film, and a live album ASAP.”

Capturing the night’s essence, a devotee succinctly commented: “They sound perfect like they were put into a time machine. A bit emotional seeing this.”
