Oasis fans given warning over ticket scams as Gallaghers move to Manchester

Oasis absolutely thrilled tens of thousands of people over the weekend at their first shows of the Oasis Live ’25 tour. Cardiff housed the Manchester band’s reunion on July 4 and July 5, and now the rockers have set their sights on Heaton Park. And although the band still have plenty of dates in the UK this year, and fans will want to attend, a new warning has been laid down.

StubHub, the online second-hand ticket seller, has issued new research on fans attempting to buy tickets to British gigs at the door of the venue through shady ticket touts. And the results state a staggering 4.6 million fans across the UK are “expected to risk attending live music events this summer without a ticket”.

As a result, these music lovers will be searching for other ways in. That means they’ll be looking to buy tickets from people hanging around the iconic venues including London’s Wembley, Manchester’s Heaton Park, and Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium.

And, at the top of the list, Gen Z are the most likely to risk losing their money on fake tickets. This information comes as StubHub reveals 73 percent of Gen Z have confessed they have waited outside venues in bad weather hoping to find a ticket.

And 65 percent of Gen Z are hoping to get tickets to shows this year – including Oasis’ upcoming gigs. As a result, StubHub has issued music fans a warning over buying tickets through illegitimate means.

CEO of StubHub International, Bob Kupbens, said: “We get it – fans will go to great lengths to see their favourite act live, but that excitement can also lead to many taking risks on dodgy deals that can result in scams. That’s why it’s so important to have access to safe and secure ways to grab last minute tickets.

“We’re urging fans to follow a few simple guidelines, including avoiding purchasing tickets from unregulated sources, such as strangers outside the venue or social media platforms like Facebook or X (formerly Twitter).”

Kupbens added that fans ought to use “trusted and transparent platforms like StubHub” to buy their tickets. “This ensures you know what you’re buying and benefiting from ticket protections,” he went on. “Including a guarantee that your ticket is valid or your money back.”

With this in mind, we have collected all of the current ticketing options below. All of which have different pros and cons.

Here’s the information:

Oasis tickets are still available right now through a number of online retailers. This includes both official and second-hand tickets.

At the time of writing, the only two official websites fans can buy tickets from are Ticketmaster and Twickets – and both of these are only selling resale tickets. Be aware that many authoritative sites, including Ticketmaster and Live Nation, generally discourage purchasing via other resales.

However, both of the websites have seen a drastic lack of tickets over the past few weeks. Considering these are being sold at face value, they do not last very long once they are put on sale. With that said, here’s the links:

TWICKETS – Buy Oasis tickets here.

TICKETMASTER – Buy Oasis tickets here.

Alternatively, resale websites such as StubHub are the best bet fans have right now to buy tickets.

These websites give fans the chance to buy and sell tickets at their will. This includes standing, seated, and everything in between. And while prices are set by the sellers, they are trending at around £200 each.

Lastly, VIP and hospitality tickets are still available right now for fans who are looking for even more from there Oasis experience. These tickets include a plethora of perks – depending on which tickets you purchase. That might mean complimentary catering and beverages, early access, goodie bags, or more.
