O2 warns all customers about change to major service happening this week

If you are a customer of UK mobile network O2, there’s a change coming this week that could majorly affect how you access the best perks the firm has to offer.

Aside from getting access to nationwide mobile coverage, many people opt for an O2 SIM over services from mobile operator rivals thanks to O2 Priority, the popular reward scheme where O2 customers can access presale tickets to gigs at O2 venues, plus many other special offers and discounts not offered anywhere else.

Right now, you can access your O2 Priority account via the official iPhone and Android app as well as online using a web browser, but that is about to change according to a message posted at the top of the O2 Priority website.

“From 11 August 2025, you won’t be able to access Priority through our website,” O2 says. Don’t miss out on exclusive rewards and experiences – download the Priority app today.”

This means that as of tomorrow, Monday August 11, you’ll only be able to access O2 Priority sales and rewards if you have a smartphone and log into the official app.

For app users this shouldn’t present an issue, but if you have been used to logging into O2 Priority on your desktop or laptop computer and accessing its services and perks that way, you’ll no longer be able to from tomorrow.

One of the best things about O2 Priority is the access to concert tickets before general release, the only requirement being for you to be a genuine O2 customer. These sales can often start 48 hours before the regular sale of tickets to O2 venues such as The O2 and other O2 branded venues across the UK in London, Bournemouth, Liverpool, Leicester, Sheffield, Leeds and Glasgow.

Unfortunately you can’t access this quietly excellent perk through any other mobile network, though because O2 is part of Virgin Media O2 after the two firms merged in 2021, you can also access priority if you are a Virgin Media customer.

To do this you can download the O2 Priority app and register using the same email address associated with your Virgin Media account.
