Nvidia RTX 5070Ti and RTX 5070 – release date, where to buy, and prices

Nvidia is releasing its newest brand of 5070 and 5070Ti graphics cards imminently, as gamers have been rushing to upgrade their new gaming rigs.

The newest 50 Series graphics cards haven’t gone the smoothest since the release of the 5090 and the 5080, with stock being almost non-existent and some users worrying about melting power connectors and black screens that Nvidia says it is investigating.

However, if the £1000 price tag is a bit outside of your price range, the 5070 and 5070Ti might be the perfect sweet spot for price and performance, especially if your old graphics card looks a bit old and dusty. But when do the graphics cards launch, where can we get them and how much are we looking to spend?

We expect the cards to sell out quickly, so make sure you aren’t slacking and get your wallets ready. We have compiled all the important information you need ahead of the launch so you don’t need to know where to get the cards – including stores like Scan, Overclockers, CCL and Amazon – and how much you’ll probably have to spend.

Nvidia announced that the 5070Ti will be released on February 20th, but due to stock constraints, it will be holding back the 5070 release until March 5, so there won’t be tons of clamouring for cards this week.

Regarding the 5070Ti specs, it has 8960 cores compared to the 5080’s 10752 core, and you can also get 16GB of GDDR7 memory with the card. It has a TDP of 300W, and Nvidia suggests that you should have a 750W card with the device. The chopped-down 5070 has 6144 cores, 12GB of GDDR7 memory, a TDP of 250W, and a suggested PSU of 600W.

Depending on the AIB you choose, the RTX 5070 prices start at £539, and the RTX 5070Ti starts at £759. There have been no benchmarks so far for either cards, but we hope to update you with benchmarks as soon as the embargo lifts.

However, early leaks claim that the 5070Ti will be almost 20 per cent faster than the 4070Ti in early 3DMark tests, according to VideoCards.com.

The RTX 5070Ti will be released on February 20th at 2 pm GMT (3 pm CET), and cards will hit stores across most computer hardware stores in the UK. On March 5, the RTX 5070 will be released, and the Founders Edition card will also be dropping.

For hardware fans looking for the Founders Edition card, only the RTX 5070 will be included so you’ll have to rely on third-party cards for the RTX 5070Ti. The good news is we know exactly where to look so you can start refreshing at 1:55pm.

Here’s a full list of places which will sell the cards:

Our top pick for retailers is Scan. Scan is perhaps the most fair when it comes to GPU prices and they often open up their pre-orders so you can track how long it will take and your place on the pre-order queue. They also have great customer service so we can highly recommend them.

If you’re worried about the extortionate prices the 5080 and 5090 cards have gone for, never fear. There are brands and ways you can get them cheaper. As we mentioned before, due to stock and demand, the Founders Edition cards will be the only cards that you can get for the recommended retail price.

The RTX 5070 is the only card with a Founders Edition that will be live on the Nvidia website, which you can find here.

If you can’t get a Founders Edition card for whatever reason, we suggest looking at the likes of Palit, MSI and PNY which sell cheaper AIB cards on Scan. However, prices very much rely on the retailer and they can vary massively.

Generally, Scan sells cards that have the fairest prices in our experience and even has a comprehensive pre-order queue, allowing you to order and let you know how long it will be until your card gets to you.
