A New Jersey teacher was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a student at his high school, authorities announced Tuesday.
Jesse L. Heubel, a 37-year-old teacher at Freehold Township High School, allegedly began the relationship with the minor in November 2025 and carried out the abuse in multiple locations, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
Heubel, a technology teacher and wrestling coach at the school — according to Daily Voice, turned himself in and is being held at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution until his court appearance.
The Englishtown man is charged with multiple counts of sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child in Red Bank, Freehold Township, Englishtown, and Manalapan Township.
The age and gender of the student were not immediately revealed.
Heubel’s criminal defense attorney didn’t immediately return a request for comment Tuesday morning.
