The New Jersey teacher and band director charged with sexually assaulting a student when they were just 13 years old allegedly sexually assaulted the student more than 40 times and forced them into revolting sex acts at school, prosecutors alleged in sickening court docs.

Daniel Burbank, 37, the band director at Bloomfield Middle School and assistant director at Bloomfield High School, was arrested Friday following allegations that he abused the teen for years.

The alleged victim told police that Burbank, a Monroe resident, forced them to have sex with him more than 40 times and molested the child on “multiple occasions,” according to the court affidavit.

The teacher at one point took the child into an instrument closet at the middle school and tried to molest them, according to the court docs.

The teacher also allegedly molested the child in the high school auditorium.

It remains unclear exactly how long the abuse lasted. However, Burbank allegedly continued the assaults as the victim moved from middle school to high school, according to court docs.

Following the allegations and arrest, the Bloomfield School District said it placed Burbank on leave.

Burbank is facing charges of sexual assault, attempted aggravated sexual assault, sexual contact, criminal restraint, endangering the welfare of a child and luring.

“The safety and well-being of our students remain our absolute highest priority. Counseling staff will be available to support any students or staff in need,” schools Superintendent Salvatore Goncalves wrote in a letter emailed to parents Monday evening.

Burbank’s lawyer has yet to return The Post’s request for comment.
