Another Nintendo Switch 2 game may have been revealed ahead of schedule.
Developer FuturLab recently unveiled PowerWash Simulator 2, which will launch for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2025. The sequel to the surprise 2022 hit includes a host of additional multiplayer options, as well as a new campaign and central hub for your powerwashing business.
In what is perhaps more proof that the 2025 Nintendo Switch 2 games line-up will be absolutely epic, FuturLab may have accidentally spilled the beans on a possible Switch 2 port for PowerWash Simulator 2.
Covering the announcement of the game, Eurogamer confirmed that PowerWash Simulator 2 would be released for Nintendo Switch 2.
“We do plan to release on Switch 2, but will share more on that when we are ready,” a FuturLab spokesperson told the website.
However, FuturLab would subsequently claim the reports were premature and that there are currently no firm plans.
“Whilst we would like to release on Switch 2, there are no current firm plans,” a spokesperson continued. “We have no timeframe or news there.”
Despite the comments, it’s been speculated that a Switch 2 port is in development, but was announced ahead of schedule. Fingers crossed.
Sadly, it looks like a virtual reality version won’t be released, despite the first game getting a solid VR port.
As for the potential Nintendo Switch 2 port, it’s possible PowerWash Simulator 2 will be unveiled during the upcoming Nintendo Direct conference in April.
Taking place at 2pm GMT UK time on April 2, the Nintendo Direct conference will shed light on the Switch 2 release date and price.
Current estimates suggest the console will cost around $399, although some believe US tariffs could impact the price in certain regions.
Either way, analysts are certain the console will sell big numbers and won’t experience similar stock shortages to the PS5.
