YouTuber Nick Shirley has found a family of migrants with young children “living like dogs” on Los Angeles’ Skid Row.

He interviewed the Colombians from their tent in the notorious downtown neighborhood surrounded by “drugs and chaos,” branding the scenes “tragic.”

The family pulled back the entrance to the tent to reveal two young kids living in squalor and without any shoes on

Shirley, who uncovered massive fraud in Minnesota, revealed they have been living in the US for two years after crossing the border during the Biden administration.

He asked them if this is what they wanted, with the mother replying: ”Never, we thought it was going to be a different life.”

The father added: ““We came here to change our lives, and now we are living like dogs. We aren’t animals, we are human. But f***k… look we have the kids here.”

He then pulled back the entrance to the tent to reveal two young kids living in squalor and without any shoes on.

At one point, the independent journalist asked one of the children, named Dylan, if he liked living in the US, and the boy made clear he did not.

When pressed on if their quality of life was better in Los Angeles or in Colombia, the father quickly replied: “We are 1000 times better in Colombia.”

It is unclear why the illegal migrant family has remained in the US, living in such terrible conditions and not opting to return home.

Shirley recently posted on X that he had arrived in California after being responsible for uncovering billion dollars in welfare fraud in Minnesota.

“Hello California I’ve arrived,” Shirley boasted to his one million-plus followers on X. The 23-year-old also included a photo of himself wearing a ‘Support Independent Journalism’ hoodie in the post.
