Amazon MGM Studios’ new James Bond producers, Amy Pascal and David Heyman, have chosen Denis Villeneuve to direct the new 007 movie.
He will be aided by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight on screenwriting duties. As for the next Bond actor himself, rumours abound that auditions are under way.
And according to The Hollywood Reporter’s source, Scott Rose-Marsh has had a screen test.
He’s best known for the Krays: Code of Silence and Wolves of War, and this insider says the 37-year-old redhead auditioned back in late
The insider also claimed there’s one piece of direction shared with 007 auditionees – and that’s to never impersonate a previous Bond actor. Rose-Marsh has been rumoured before, so it sounds like he’s certainly in the mix even if he’s not a big star yet. His current best odds of being cast as Bond are 12-1, with other bookies placing him further back on 40-1.
