Prince William and the Duchess of Edinburgh are undertaking a rare joint engagement as they attend the Royal Cornwall Show together this afternoon. The royal duo are attending the show to celebrate Cornish heritage through agriculture, food, and entertainment.

The event has been running for over 200 years, is organised by the Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association (RCAA) and aims to promote agriculture and related industries. William, who is the Duke of Cornwall, is a patron of the RCAA, while his aunt Sophie is the RCAA’s vice president and a patron of the Association of Show and Agricultural Organisations.

It’s not unusual for royals to attend the annual show, with the King and Queen paying a visit in 2022 – the first since the coronavirus pandemic – and Sophie previously visited in 2014.
