TMZ received yet another purported ransom note Monday claiming to know where Nancy Guthrie’s body is — and who is responsible for her kidnapping, the founder of the gossip site revealed.
“We got another letter today from this person, an email saying, ‘I know where her body is, and who the kidnapper is, give me half a bitcoin and I’ll tell you,’” Harvey Levin said, the same day Savannah Guthrie returned to the “Today” show for the first time since her mother’s Feb. 1 disappearance.
He noted that the sender has been “persistent” despite knowing that they could be charged with a crime for the hoax.
TMZ said it’s alerted the FBI to the purported demand.
