A nightmare neighbour who threw daily parties, keeping locals awake until the early hours, was finally silenced after a surprising turn of events. The party-loving tenant was “evicted”, according to the next-door resident, but the manner in which they left was unexpected.
Persistent calls to the police and security cameras aimed at the house recorded everything. Naturally, this provided the anonymous resident with enough evidence to apply pressure.
Their neighbours were eventually “busted”, but it took one audacious move from the resident to finally bring peace to the area. The public has since commended the resident for taking action based on the evidence they had gathered through their camera footage.
The resident has since shared their terrifying experience with the noisy neighbour, who would host “noisy, drunken parties” beneath their office window.
They posted their story on the r/NeighboursfromHell Reddit page: “I called the police, they would do nothing. The NFH retaliated by increasing the noise and holding bigger parties.
“THEN after one of their drunken parties, I heard a loud sound of glass breaking. I checked my security cameras and some guy was smashing their windows with a chair, screaming that he wanted his car keys.”
They added: “The next weekend, they had another noisy party, late into the night. I called in another noise complaint on the police non-emergency line. I watched the security cameras and they were screaming and several of them started a fist fight. Then silence. Busted.”
Armed with substantial evidence supporting their case, the resident chose to escalate matters to the city attorney (in America), who validated that the “daily nuisance” constituted disorderly conduct.
The city attorney subsequently indicated that measures could be implemented against both the neighbours and their landlord. They shared: “I didn’t want to go after the landlord, he was a victim too.
“The CA said, ‘That’s what the law is for, landlords who can’t control their tenants must pay a penalty.’ I asked their property manager to abate the nuisance on many occasions, for years, so I agreed.”
They continued: “I braced myself for their usual holiday blowout party. But instead, there was complete silence. No drunken party for the entire weekend. And the quiet continued.
“There was no sign of the drunks. I had to scroll back through my security camera recordings, and then I saw it: the NFH was carrying a mattress out of the apartment on Sept 1. He moved out quietly, in the middle of the night.”
Local residents have celebrated the triumph as progress towards restoring tranquillity to their area. One individual commented: “Justice served! Nothing sweeter than finally getting your peace and quiet after years of nonsense.”
Another added: “That must feel like the biggest relief ever years of chaos finally gone. Glad persistence paid off!” A third commented: “Sweet justice! Nothing beats the sound of peace and quiet after years of chaos.”
