The road to Omaha is officially underway.
The 2023 NCAA Division I baseball tournament bracket was revealed Monday, as 64 teams vie to reach Charles Schwab Field Omaha (Nebraska) and win the Men’s College World Series.
The tournament will kick off Friday with the regional round, with the top 16 seeds of the tournament each hosting the double-elimination round. Those that emerge from the regional round will advance to the best-of-three super regional with a spot in Omaha on the line.
The No. 1 overall seed heading into the tournament will be Wake Forest, which dominated for much of the regular season with a 47-10 record. However, being the No. 1 team in the tournament hasn’t been a good omen recently; the last three No. 1 seeds failed to make the Men’s College World Series, and Miami (Florida) is the only No. 1 seed to win it all in 1999.

When are the super regionals?
The super regionals will take place the week after the regional rounds at the higher seed between each matchup. The best-of-three round will be from June 9-11 or June 10-12.
When is the Men’s College World Series?
The Men’s College World Series, which will consist of the eight super regional winners, will start Friday, June 16 at Charles Schwab Field Omaha. The best-of-three championship round will take place June 24-26.
