Halifax is adding to the slew of closures, shutting down branches in Clapham Junction, Cirencester, Walkden, Erdington and Rhyl.
Lloyds bank is also closing a branch in Leeds Armley this week. All three of the banks will close even more branches next month as well.

The major closures come as more and more customers move to online banking.
Since 2015 some 6,400 branches have closed according to Which?
How do you access your account if your local branch shuts?
Don’t worry, you can still access basic services without having to head to another town that is lucky enough to have a branch.
Customers can use a local Post Office to perform basic tasks, but not open a new account or take out a loan or mortgage.

Most banks also have a service where they bring a bus into your area so you can access a branch.
Others use village halls.
But more and more, customers are using the internet of mobile apps to access their accounts.
