This is your chance to wake up to a breathtaking view near a stunning Welsh beach. If you’re driven, self-motivated and not afraid of hard work, this job could be perfect for you.
The Three Cliffs Bay Holiday Park, located on the Gower Peninsula, Swansea, is seeking two pairs of wardens for the 2025 season (March- October).
The chosen individuals will live and work on the site, immersing themselves in the UK’s first area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
As a warden, your duties will include daily cleaning and general maintenance, problem-solving and delivering five-star customer service to guests.
The holiday park boasts its Glamping Yurts/Bell and provides pitches for camping and caravans/motorhomes. It also has a shop and cafe area for visitors to enjoy.
However, the role does come with its own set of challenges. As stated in the job advert: “It’s an extremely physical and busy role spread across 5 days/week, making it more of a lifestyle choice than a job.
“At peak times you will be required to work up to 40+ hours a week over a 5-day period which can be over both weekends and bank holidays to meet the needs of the site, but you will be rewarded by a competitive salary, free pitch/accommodation (options available) and bills and the opportunity to live on the Gower Peninsula.”
To be eligible, you must have previous experience in a busy customer environment or team, basic computer skills, customer-facing and relationship-building abilities, and the capacity to operate handheld machinery after training. You must also possess the right to work in the UK and a valid UK driving licence, reports Wales Online.
If you are passionate about nature conservation and wildlife, and have experience in hospitality, tourism or retail, that would be ideal. Practical DIY skills are also beneficial.
A meticulous eye for detail, problem-solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate guest needs are essential.
