A bitcoin account allegedly set up to receive the $6 million ransom demand for Nancy Guthrie is still empty, just hours before the kidnappers’ reported deadline for the dough.

As of Monday afternoon, the balance in the publicly viewable account stands at $0 with no recorded transactions, TMZ reported.

It is unclear how long it typically takes for bitcoin accounts to update.

The alleged ransom note for the 84-year-old grandmother — the daughter of TV morning star Savannah Guthrie — had listed a deadline of Monday at 5 p.m. Arizona time, or 7 p.m. Eastern, to pay the $6 million ransom in cryptocurrency.

A previous deadline to hand over the ransom expired Thursday.
