Most recently, Antonio’s cousin died in a car accident, which led Antonio to understandably feel depressed and to act “a lot less like himself”.
“Tonight, when I got home from work, [Antonio] had our two kids go spend the night at his mother’s place and he had made us dinner,” said Maria.
“After dinner, he sat me down and told me that I needed to prepare myself for what he was going to say.”
Maria revealed: “He then proceeded to tell me about his affair… with his cousin.”
Maria elaborated: “To sum some things up he essentially had been doing sexual things with his cousin since she ‘seduced’ him when she 13 and he was 16.
“These sexual activities went on through their adulthood up until he started to date me.”
Maria was told by Antonio that “things didn’t happen between him or his cousin” for the first four years of their marriage.
“She supposedly convinced him to continue their sexual activities on the side,” Maria said. “This has continued up until three weeks ago, as you can imagine.”
Flabbergasted, Maria was told she could do whatever she liked with the information she just received.
“He told me to take it as I will and he’ll accept anything I choose to do considering our marriage,” said Maria.
“His cousin was a lot more than just some s*x fling,” said Maria, who “never expected” her husband to cheat, let alone with his blood relative.
“He never did anything that would give it red flags like coming in late or leaving the hair of another woman around,” said Maria, clearly still in shock.
“I’m at a standstill and not sure where to go from here,” Maria confessed. “I haven’t been able to say anything to him after he was so blunt about it.”
Soon, Maria revealed she was “crying” and pleaded to the Reddit community: “I don’t know where to go from here.”
After receiving clear advice from the community such as to file for divorce, Maria updated people on the situation.
“I want to first say that I appreciate all of the support I’ve received after posting my first post,” said Maria.
“It’s been really hard to swallow all of this and I’m looking for a lawyer now to help with a divorce.”
