Mountain lion cornered after prowling San Francisco streets

A wayward mountain lion seen prowling the streets of a posh San Francisco neighborhood has been located, according to wildlife officials.

The young cat, which was was caught on video near Lafayette Park on Monday, has been cornered in a courtyard between two apartment buildings on California Street, KRON reported.

San Francisco Animal Care & Control and California Department of Fish and Wildlife were on the scene managing the situation.

The approximately one-year-old cougar was first spotted near Pacific Avenue and Octavia Street on Monday.
