Mother's Day brawl horror as women 'punch and pull each other's hair' in packed restaurant

A packed restaurant looked on in horror as a Mother’s Day brawl broke out between diners. The fight broke out at Liverpool’s The Restaurant Bar and Grill, with a video appearing to show two women grappling while pulling each other’s hair and punching one another.

As the punch-up continues onlookers can be seen trying to dodge the fight while other diners attempt to stop the pair.

In shocking footage of the incident, one person can be heard yelling, “she’s punching her head in”, while another shouts: “This is our Mother’s Day.”

But despite the calls to stop one woman continues to thump at the other’s head before she pushes her back.

At one point the women fall backwards into a seat and a mum is forced to protect her young girl from being hit by the brawlers.

Diners seated nearby are forced to hang on to glassware and move their plates out of the way to stop the pair from knocking them over.

Footage of the incident has seen more than 35,000 views on Facebook with one user remarking “stay classy”.

Another commenter added: “I feel ashamed for the women involved in that fighting, in a restaurant too. Have some self-respect.”

It comes after a similar incident was filmed at another Liverpool city centre restaurant last year as a number of women fought outside the Camp and Furnace nightclub in Jamaica Street.

Merseyside Police say they have not been made aware of the incident which took place at the restaurant in Brunswick Street.

The Express has contacted The Restaurant Bar and Grill for comment.
