Much like many people across the world, members of the Royal Family celebrated Valentine’s Day on Friday.
In a poll conducted to mark the most romantic day of the year, 2,054 Express.co.uk readers shared who they think is the most romantic royal couple.
The Prince and Princess of Wales ranked the highest with readers, with 1,287 votes for the popular couple.
Kate, 43, and William, 42,, who wed in 2011 and have three children, have recently become more open about expressing their love for one another.
They surprised royal fans on Friday by sharing a sweet picture to their Instagram account.
The couple have never publicly celebrated the worldwide holiday on social media before. The image uploaded is a still from the Princess of Wales’s video announcing the end of her cancer treatment in September.
Zara and Mike Tindall, who are known for their very public displays of affection, ranked second with 403 votes.
In the third spot came King Charles and Queen Camilla, who will be celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary in April.
Although they may have missed out on the top spot as the ‘most romantic’ royal couple, the King and Queen were recently deemed as the most compatible royal couple.
Other royals who featured in the poll include the Duke and Duchess of Edinurgh [93 votes], Princess Anne and Sir Timothy Laurence [10 votes] and Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi [11 votes] and Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank [3 votes].
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who recently appeared in Canada together for the 2025 Invictus Games, also featured in the poll.
The couple ranked fourth out of the eight couples, with 101 votes from Express.co.uk readers. An option to vote ‘other’ also received 7 votes.
