As the weather turns colder, condensation starts to build up on windows, and clothes have to be dried inside, many people are looking for ways to keep damp and mould at bay. Luckily, the keen beans at Morphy Richards have kicked off the brand’s Black Friday sale a whole month early, and one of the biggest bargains is its PureFresh 0.9L dehumidifier – now reduced by 25% to £37.49 from £49.99.
That’s cheaper than on Amazon, where it’s still full price, making the brand’s official website the best place to grab it while the offer lasts. The deal covers both the grey and white versions of the compact model, designed for small rooms, flats, and spaces prone to moisture build-up.
Shoppers have been quick to praise how well it handles damp spots, condensation and the sheer amount of water it extracted, with one user even describing the level as “insane”. They went on: “If you struggle with damp or condensation, I can’t recommend it enough.”
The dehumidifier works by pulling excess moisture from the air and collecting it in a 0.9-litre water tank. It’s light, weighing just 1kg, so you can easily move it from room to room. It’s also quiet and, according to the brand, operates at 40db (which is the equivalent of fridge hum).
Once it’s full, the appliance automatically switches off, so you can leave it running overnight without worrying. That said, some users did complain that, due to its size, they felt they had to empty it more often than they’d like. Morphy Richards says it works best in rooms up to 15 square metres, making it ideal for bedrooms, utility rooms, or anywhere you notice condensation forming.
One shopper said: “Brilliant little dehumidifier. Perfect for the bedroom. Very quiet so can stay on all night and the light can be switched off if necessary. Working very well to reduce any moisture.”
Another shopper added: “It’s got a great on/off feature, plus you can turn the light on or off, too. There is a minimal glow from the unit even when the light’s off, but I just turn mine away from view in the bedroom and it’s absolutely fine. It’s also really quite barely noticeable when running, which is a big bonus.”
However, there were some mixed reviews about how well it works in spaces over 10 square metres. One shopper explained: “I bought this for a 10 sq m bedroom, but it wasn’t powerful enough, and I still had a condensation issue. I would say it’s best for really small spaces, not bigger than 10 sq m, with very small dampness issues.”
The PureFresh 0.9L dehumidifier is just one of the many appliances that Morphy Richards has discounted by 25% or more in its early Black Friday sale.
The brand has reduced the price of its saute and soup maker to £74.99, down from £99.99. It can make up to 1.6 litres of soup, which serves around four people, and has a non-stick coating for easy clean-up.
It’s also slashed the price of its stainless steel traditional compact pump espresso machine, which has a whopping 42% off, taking it to £98.00 down from £169.99. It has a 15-bar pressure pump for rich, creamy espresso, a one-litre removable water tank, and a steam wand for frothing milk or making hot water. You can use ground coffee or pods, and it comes with both single and double filters.
