Porsche Supercup cars were involved in the second pile-up of the day as oil was left spewing out onto the Monaco Grand Prix track hours before the Formula One race got underway. Shortly after a horrifying crash in the Formula Two feature race, vehicles were left scattered all over the Monte-Carlo circuit in the second round of the two-seat competition.
In an almost identical incident to the one earlier in the day, the race leaders collided just after Turn 1 and spun into the barriers. Cars behind them then crashed into each other as they attempted to evade the initial incident. Images show that two cars were left facing the wrong way and another was leaking a severe amount of oil onto the track. Four cars were unable to continue after the restart.
