Moment Russia launches huge attack on Ukraine as power plant explodes into fireball

Video footage of the moment a missile reportedly took out a hydroelectric power station in Ukraine this morning shows it exploding into a massive fireball and also creating a massive mushroom cloud.

It comes after Russia was accused of launching an all-out assault on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure in the early hours of Friday, March 22. Several cities were said to have lost electricity, with multiple reports of injuries.

The video (above) reportedly shows an attack on the Dnipro hydroelectric dam. However, the city of Zaporizhzhi – home to a nuclear power plant – was said to have been hit even harder, suffering 12 missile attacks.

More than 15 strikes were reported on energy facilities in Kharkiv. The city was plunged into near-complete darkness, according to local media.
