“Hi. It’s our old friend Kathleen checking in. You’re hotter than our recent trip to Florida. Keep up the good work and we can go back!”
— Kathleen McCrohan, Clifton, N.J.
Thanks, Kathleen. Hope you are cashing.
History tells us this heat wave won’t last much longer.
Speaking of warmer climates, the Padres play the Snakes down in Mexico City.
San Diego’s Michael King, a former Yankee, has won three games in a row and twice for us.
King has given up just one run on five hits in his past 11 innings.
Arizona’s Ryne Nelson was mercifully removed after getting one out and watching eight Blue Jays fly home.
We will play $50 on King and the Padres (-134, FanDuel).
In a game with more hits than Taylor Swift, and more twists and turns than Adrien Brody’s nose, the Mariners outlasted the Cards 11-9.
