Mike Tindall has been spotted with Prince George in sweet new snaps that gives an insight into their relationship. Mike, husband of Prince William’s cousin Zara Tindall, has been spotted numerous times over the years offering a helping hand to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
These latest photos are no surprise, with the former Rugby player seen cosying up to the Wales’s children numerous times over the years. And one body language expert says the photo gives an insight into his relationship with them, describing it as a “hands on” approach.
Speaking to HELLO!, Darren Stanton said: “[Mike is] demonstrating he has very much a hands-on sort of relationship here. It’s clear that Mike isn’t averse to getting stuck in thanks to years of playing physical sports.
The picture was taken as the family walked out of the church service at St Mary Magdelene on Christmas Day as Mike wrapped his hand around 10-year-old George. He appeared to place a kiss on his forehead as he pulled the future monarch in closely.
Prince William and Princess Kate’s children are rumoured to call Mike – who appeared on ITV’s I’m A Celeb in 2022 – ‘Uncle Mike’.
The two families are said to be particularly close, with Zara and Mike often offering support to the Prince and Princess of Wales. Zara, the daughter of Princess Anne, was chosen as Prince George’s godmother – giving her an important role to play in their lives.
She is also technically their first cousin once removed, but Zara and Mike appear to have a more fun aunt-uncle dynamic with the three youngsters.
Zara and Mike Tindall are also parents to their three children – Mia, Lena and Lucas. Zara is said to be particularly close to Princess Kate, having offered her support over the years as she navigated royal life.
