Mike Evans is certainly getting acclimated to the Bay Area.

Before the 49ers kicked off a Week 6 Monday Night Football game against the San Francisco 49ers, Evans was seen paying tribute to Golden State Warriors great Stephen Curry.

Evans is currently in the midst of his first season with the 49ers, after spending the first 12 years of his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Coming into Monday’s game, he’s already made a huge impact for the 49ers as he leads the team in receiving with 24 receptions for 326 yards and three touchdowns.

Evans has already logged two receptions for 78 yards, including a 54-yard reception to put the 49ers near the endzone with less than nine minutes left in the first quarter.

The 49ers made the most of Evans’ electric play by scoring eight plays later when Christian McCaffrey stormed into the endzone on a 1-yard run to make the score 13-3.

Before the 49ers and Commanders took the field, Evans was questionable to play as he didn’t practice this past week due to a rib and Achilles injury.

While the six-time Pro Bowler has been getting settled in his new home, Curry is about to begin his 18th season in the NBA.

Curry and the Warriors avoided an injury scare earlier in the afternoon, as head coach Steve Kerr revealed that his two-time MVP exited Sunday’s open practice early because of a sprained ankle.

Kerr went ahead and confirmed that Curry will be playing when the team opens its season on the road against the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday.
