The Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar and Grill Liverpool has announced on its website that it is no longer open. However, neither the restaurant or its owner has revealed why the location has abruptly shut down.
As reported by The Sun, the restaurant said on its website: “Sorry we missed you! We’re no longer at this location. But don’t worry, you can still get succulent steaks and tantalising desserts at another one of our Marco Pierre White restaurants. See you there soon!”
The restaurant opened on the ground floor of the Hotel Indigo, on Chapel Street, Liverpool, in 2011. It was renovated in 2016 and sold a range of dishes, including afternoon teas and steak.
However, it has now closed suddenly with no details revealed as to why. Marco, who is one of the youngest chefs to be awarded three Michelin stars, operates over 15 restaurants across England, including Wheeler’s Fish and Chips.
It was previously reported that Blackpool Council and strategic partners RBH Hospitality Management ended their agreement with Marco’s New York Italian, which is also operated by Marco Pierre White, in the seaside town. The restaurant opened in Blackpool’s Holiday Inn back in 2024 as part of a large regeneration project.
The Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar and Grill Liverpool has close to 600 “excellent” reviews on TripAdvisor. Many visitors agree that the restaurant sold amazing food and offered great customer service.
Mario A said: “Elegant and delightfully calm. Excellent food and first class service. Easily missed from the pavement unless you re staying at indigo hotel. We discovered by chance. Really worth a visit.”
Clare added: “Lovely good and excellent service by Peter. We visited for an evening meal and it was our first visit. We were served by Peter, who was very knowledgable and a great member of your team. The food was really nice, we had venison & fillet steak and for pudding crème brûlée and sticky toffee pudding. We both had a side with our main and really enjoyed the experience.”
