Michael van Gerwen looks set to miss out on a spot at the upcoming Players Championship Finals after snubbing the remainder of the floor events this year.
Speaking to Dutch media, he said: “I can feel that the man with the hammer has come to visit me too. I need to clear my head and get some things in order.”
