Met Office issues snow warning with subzero freeze to batter Britain in less than 48 hours


The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain and snow as parts of the UK are set for the return of wintry conditions.

Rain and snow threaten travel chaos, localised flooding and the possibility of remote, rural communities being cut off from midnight to midday on Tuesday (March 26), according to the Met Office alert.
