As the UK continues to battle travel chaos caused by a week-long barrage of snow, the Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings across the country which will likely bring travel disruption and risk of injury.
The new warnings come after much of the country saw heavy snow or icy rainfall over the weekend, bringing with them two large amber weather warnings.
Manchester Airport had closed both runways for several hours due to heavy snow, while there were stranded vehicles and collisions which blocked key roads across northern England.
The new yellow weather warnings cover six regions of the UK, with the Met Office warning of icy stretches and sleet or snow showers developing overnight.
They warn that some roads and railways are likely to be affected, advising travellers to expect longer journey times by road, bus and train, as well as alerting to icy patches on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths that may result in injuries from slips and falls.
