Meghan sends message to royals in Netflix show after change | Royal | News

Meghan Markle is subtly communicating her feelings about her Royal status through her daring fashion choices in the trailer for the upcoming second season of her Netflix show, says a style expert.

In the trailer for “With Love, Meghan,” the Duchess of Sussex showcases her “quiet luxury” wardrobe filled with tailored essentials as she cooks alongside various celebrity guests.

While Meghan has always been recognised for her impeccable fashion sense, a style expert suggests that her outfits for the Netflix series are conveying a message to the Royal family about her perspective on her Royal duties. This comes after Prince Harry’s covert Royal actions spoke volumes following ‘peace talks’ with senior aides.

Cynthia Kennedy, a personal stylist based in California, stated that Meghan’s fashion in the second season of her Netflix show clearly indicates that she no longer feels obligated to dress in a certain manner to align with her role as Duchess.

Instead, Kennedy suggests that Meghan is opting for a more grounded, relaxed style that will connect more with the viewers of her lifestyle show, reports the Mirror.

The stylist elaborated, “Her revamped style is sending everyone a message that I don’t have to dress like a duchess anymore. I get to dress like myself, and be more approachable, modern, authentic and real.”

The stylist also outlined the contrasting appearances worn by the Duchess across the first and second seasons of Meghan’s program. She noted, “Her choices feel deliberate and more like a conscious move toward comfort, vulnerability, relatability, and ease without losing that sense of polish that keeps her aspirational. It’s a careful balance and I think she’s hitting it.”

During the inaugural season, Cynthia noticed that Meghan appeared in “put-together looks that were almost ‘Duchess-lite,’ clean tailoring and muted neutrals,” while in the follow-up season, her fashion sense appeared “softer, relaxed, effortless, and more lived-in.”

The specialist proposed, “It signals that she’s not trying to perform ‘royalty’ anymore, but instead connect with people as a modern woman, wife, and mother.”

The forthcoming second installment of With Love, Meghan will once more showcase the Duchess of Sussex hosting friends and famous faces at a breathtaking California property, where she shares guidance on culinary arts, horticulture, and entertaining.

The star-studded roster for the second installment includes supermodel Chrissy Teigen, style expert Tan France, and renowned culinary masters such as José Andrés, David Chang, Samin Nosrat, Clare Smyth and Christina Tosi.

The second installment contains eight episodes, which will all debut on Netflix on August 26.
