Meghan Markle's Suits co-star exposes how the Duchess' acting career ended

Meghan Markle’s Suits co-star Wendell Pierce has shared what really ended the Duchess’ acting career, mentioning a “bubble” before her life took a massive turn.

Before marrying into the British Royal Family in 2018, Meghan was a respected actress. She is best known for her role as Rachel Zane in the popular TV series Suits, appearing in an impressive 108 episodes.

Her contract ended after the seventh season finale. Shortly after Meghan left Suits, she and Prince Harry announced their engagement.

The British Royal Family has strict rules about work and publicity, which led to Meghan retiring from acting.

Wendell Pierce, who acted alongside Meghan in Suits and played her on-screen father, has now spoken about his experience working with the Duchess before she became a Royal. On an episode of Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?

He said: “The one thing that bothers me the most right now for Meghan is the fact that I know she would love to act again.”

He also praised the Duchess, saying: “She [Meghan] is wonderful. She’s wonderful as both. She’s the nicest person ever.”

Wendell then discussed the last time he saw Meghan at work, providing details on why her acting career really ended – all because of a “bubble”. Wendell recalled: “It was the last night of working and I said, ‘Meghan, your life is going to change, and you’re going to be in a bubble, but just always remember, no matter what, I’m your friend, you have lots of friends.”

He continued: “We’re always thinking about you, we’ll always be there for you. And you know, no matter where you are, always know you have a friend in me’.”

The Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry famously stepped back from senior Royal duties in 2020, two years after their Windsor wedding.

Having left the monarchy, they’ve been building a life with their kids in Montecito, California, increasingly stepping into the spotlight with projects like documentaries and podcasts.
