Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are likely set to join other parents in the traditional autumnal ritual of pumpkin-picking with their young children.

Meghan shared insights into their previous Halloween celebrations including a parenting moment many can relate to.

During a chat on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in November 2021, Meghan reminisced about her and the Duke of Sussex’s less-than-successful attempt to celebrate the spooky holiday together with their young children.

She said: “We wanted to do something fun for the kids but the kids were just not into it at all. Archie was a dinosaur for maybe five minutes.”

In 2019, recalling Archie’s very first Halloween at five months old, Harry and Meghan expressed their festive spirit on their now-defunct Sussex Royal account on Instagram.

She wrote alongside an adorable photo: “Happy Halloween! Wishing you all a safe and fun Halloween from our family (and our little pumpkin) to yours!”

This photograph was taken whilst on a royal tour of New Zealand, a mere two days before Halloween in 2018.

Halloween celebrations are a special moment in the history of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s relations. Harry and Meghan enjoyed a Halloween night in incognito alongside Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, during the early days of their romance – a tale they shared in their Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan.

Harry and Meghan are currently living in Montecito with their children, following a period filled with various personal and charitable engagements.

Earlier this month, the couple emphasised the need for reform in social media platforms at a mental health summit in New York, hosted by their Archewell Foundation.

In September, Harry made a return to the UK to attend the WellChild Awards.
