Meghan Markle’s new photograph to promote her newly announced brand, As Ever, featured an adorable cameo from one of the Sussex family’s beloved members.
The Duchess of Sussex announced in a personal video on her Instagram earlier this week that she has renamed her lifestyle brand to As Ever.
Following that, Meghan uploaded a new photograph officially debuting the page of her new brand, which showed a stunning breakfast table outdoors with various jams and fruit on top and the duchess’s hand pouring honey on a croissant.
But the beautiful snap also gave a glimpse of one of the Sussexes’s pooches, Mia, who appears to be by the duchess’s side as she prepared the table.
Mia is a rescue beagle who Harry and Meghan adopted in 2022 when she was seven years old.
The Sussexes used to have three dogs in total, a black labrador named Pula, who they adopted after their wedding in 2018 and Guy, another rescue beagle who has now passed away.
Earlier this year, the duchess took to her social media account to post a heartbreaking tribute to her beloved pooch.
Meghan uploaded a video featuring clips and pictures of the sweet animal thought to have been taken by the Duchess herself, including some featuring Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Meghan said Guy, who she adopted in 2015, was present throughout her biggest life moments, such as her engagement and marriage to Prince Harry and becoming a mother.
The Duchess said: “He was with me for everything: the quiet, the chaos, the calm, the comfort.”
She wrote: “In 2015, I adopted a beagle from a dog rescue in Canada. He had been at a kill shelter in Kentucky and given a few days to live. I swooped him up … and fell in love.
“They referred to him as ‘the little guy’ because he was so small and frail, so I named him ‘Guy’. And he was the best guy any girl could have asked for.”
Meghan added: “Because many of you will now see Guy in this new series, I hope you’ll come to understand why I am so devastated by his loss. I think you may fall a little bit in love too.
“I have cried too many tears to count – the type of tears that make you get in the shower with the absurd hope that the running water on your face will somehow make you not feel them, or pretend they’re not there. But they are. And that’s okay too.
“Thank you for so many years of unconditional love, my sweet Guy. You filled my life in ways you’ll never know.”
