Meghan Markle has had a busy week celebrating not only her 44th birthday, but her latest As Ever launch too. Just days ago, Meghan released new stock of her As Ever Napa Valley Rosé.
Unlike her last batch of wine, which was from a 2023 vintage, this batch was from 2024, although it is being sold for the same price at £22 a bottle. Although the taste is believed to be the same, fans may be shocked to see that the wine is still available to purchase and has not yet sold out like all her other products, which tend to be snatched up within hours.
While some may think this is a sign of the latest launch being unsuccessful, one brand and culture expert actually believes it is instead a “good thing” that all stock has not yet been brought.
This is because it suggests that the brand has sorted out stocking issues, and has now introduced enough stock for everyone to get their hands on the drink.
Talking exclusively to Express.co.uk, expert Nick Ede said: “I think it’s a good thing that the new wine drop hasn’t sold out yet – it shows that they have solved the problem with stock issues – no one wants to come and buy something that’s constantly sold out!
“This shows that the team are committed to increasing the amounts of product they have on sale and allows fans and consumers to purchase the product.
“I think they are also in their test phase as to what sells and what doesn’t – they want to see if wine is going to hit a sweet spot with fans before they decide to build on that part of the brand.”
The wine can only be brought in batches of three, six, or twelve.
At the moment, it can only be shipped to the US, with Mr Ede believing that there is a reason why the wine is not yet available to UK customers – the country she called home as a working royal.
He said: “I don’t think the UK is a focus for the As Ever brand as it’s driven by popularity and at the moment Meghan doesn’t have the star power in the UK that she once had.
“The idea of buying flower sprinkles is a bit alien to UK consumers.”
