Meghan Markle warned she faces £14m loss as latest career setback laid bare

“While the couple were paid around [£15,6million ($20million)] by Spotify, Lemonada’s total revenue across all of its podcasts was around £6.3million ($8million) last year.”

The expert estimated that, even though the deal’s worth is not known, Meghan would be roughly getting around 10 percent of what she got with Spotify, “so around £1.9million.”

This would set the duchess at a £14million loss compared to her previous contract.

While the name of her new show has not been announced yet, Meghan said she is “proud” to announce her new partnership and “continue my love of podcasting.”

It comes as Meghan will be heading to Texas tomorrow to take part in a tech panel at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Conference.

Meghan will be part of a women in media panel titled Breaking Barriers, Shaping Narratives: How Women Lead On and Off the Screen.

The panel is set to take place on Friday, March 8 as part of International Women’s Day.
