Meghan Markle warned Donald Trump has 'long memory' as Prince Harry visa battle rages on

Meghan Markle has been warned Donald Trump has a “long memory” as a legal battle rages over Prince Harry’s US visa application.

In 2022, Trump said: “I’m not a fan of Meghan, I’m not a fan, and I wasn’t right from the beginning.” Before marring Harry, Meghan was critical of Trump, saying she “might just stay in Canada” if he won the 2016 Presidential race.

During an interview with Nigel Farage on GB News this week, Trump promised “appropriate action” would have to be taken if Harry is found to have lied on his US visa application before moving to the country in 2020.

US conservative think tank The Heritage Foundation is pushing for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to release Harry’s immigration records as a huge legal battle erupts.

Applicants for American visas typically must disclose drug use history, with nondisclosure potentially resulting in denial. Harry’s admission of drug use in his memoir, “Spare,” raises questions about his visa application’s accuracy.

Daily Mail diary editor Richard Eden told the outlet’s Palace Confidential podcast: “Before she got to know Prince Harry, Meghan was rude towards Donald Trump, she called him a misogynist. He has a long memory for these type of slurs.

“Another big thing for Donald Trump is immigration. He feels there shouldn’t be double standards for famous people and the less famous.”

Richard Kay believes Trump “loves this idea of toying with Harry and Meghan” which stems from the criticisms made by the Duchess of Sussex against the former president.

He told the podcast: “There is a big difference between Donald the president and Donald the candidate. The American equivalent of the civil service won’t want him to cause ripples with America’s oldest ally.

“I think he loves this idea of toying with Harry and Meghan, and it probably does go back to all those years ago when Meghan said those disobliging things about him.”

Last month during an exclusive interview with Daily Express US, Trump warned he would not protect Harry like Joe Biden has done.

The former president is furious at Biden administration for “protecting Harry” by keeping his immigration application confidential.

He said: “I wouldn’t protect him. He betrayed the Queen. That’s unforgivable. He would be on his own if it was down to me.”
