Meghan Markle has been told she can return to TV screens if she wants to in the future.

Before marrying Prince Harry in 2018, Meghan, 43, starred in the US hit drama series Suits, where she played the character of Rachel Zane.

The Duchess of Sussex shot to fame as a result of her role in the series, leaving it behind to marry Harry, 40, and enter life as a senior working royal – something she quit later in 2020.

However, while Meghan may have left the role of actress firmly in the past, it appears she has now been given an open invitation to return if she ever wants to take it.

At the premiere of the show’s spinoff Suits LA in California on Thursday, Suits creator Aaron Korsh said he would let Meghan return to the show if she wanted to.

Korsh, 58, told People: “So, look, to me, we have thought about whether it be Meghan or any of the other cast members coming on and playing themselves as an actor. I think for me that’s a little … My brain blows up at the thought of that.

“So I think it blows up the world too much.

“Obviously, if Meghan wants to come back under any circumstances, Meghan can come back.”

Meghan’s character was written off the series when Rachel moved to Seattle after marrying onscreen boyfriend Mike Ross, played by Patrick J. Adams.

The comment comes around the same time a royal expert said Meghan should have rejoined Suits to regain popularity in America, which has declined since she moved to Montecito with Harry and their children five years ago.

Speaking on the Sun Royal Exclusive show, royal correspondent Jack Royston said: “I can’t see for the life of me why she didn’t just do a Suits re-boot.

“Acting is what first forged a relationship between Meghan and the American people and Suits has had a wild run recently, it’s been so successful.”
